There it is. My homemade fig jam on a poppy seed cracker with a smear of generic brie cheese from Fresh and Easy.

I have a thing for figs too - had never seen nor tasted a fresh one before moving to L.A., and now I'm hooked. The place where I do Pilates has two HUGE fig trees in the back, and no one else picks the figs, so for the last month I've been bringing home 20lbs a week. My refrigerator is full of fig jam, fig chutney, fig cake. Your jam looks delicious. My husband uses it on his oatmeal. I, like you, prefer it with cheese.
